একটি কাজের সাহায্যে আরেকটি কাজের কথা বলা হলে ‘এ’ (ইয়া) যুক্ত ক্রিয়ার ইংরেজি by ব্যবহার করতে হয়।সত্য কথা বলে আমরা জীবনে সুখী হতে পারি। ---- We can be happy in life by speaking truth.
কঠোরভাবে পড়ে আমরা ভাল ফলাফল করতে পারি। ---- We can do good result by reading hard.
Formula 127
Shall এবং Will-এর Past tense-এ would ব্যবহার হয়।সে বলল যে সে তাড়াতাড়ি আসবে। ---- He said that he would come soon.
তুমি না আসলে আমি যাব না। ---- If you did no come I would not go.
Formula 128
অবাস্তব ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করার জন্য would that ব্যবহার করতে হয়।আমি যদি পাখি হতাম। ---- Would that I were a bird.
সূর্য যদি পশ্চিম দিকে উঠতো। ---- Would that the sun rose in the west.
Formula 129
অনুরোধ ও বিনয় একই সঙ্গে প্রকাশ করার জন্য would you please বা would you mind ব্যবহার করতে হয়।আমার একটি কলম দরকার যদি কিছু মনে না করেন তাহলে দয়া করে আপনার কলমটি আমাকে ধার দেন। ---- Would you please lend me your pen/Would you mind lending me your pen.
জানালাটি খোলা দরকার যদি কিছু মনে না করেন তাহলে দয়া করে জানালাটি খুলে দেন। ---- Would you please open the window/Would you mind opening the window.
Formula 130
বিনয় ও প্রার্থনা একই সঙ্গে প্রকাশ করার জন্য Beg to বা Would like to ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে।বিনীত প্রার্থনা এই যে, আমার বোনের বিয়ে উপলক্ষ্যে আমি আগামীকাল স্কুলে উপস্থিত থাকতে পারবো না। ---- Beg to state that I shall not be able to attend school tomorrow on account of my sister's marriage ceremony.

Formula 131
বাংলা বাক্যে ক্রিয়ার পর ‘উচিত’ কথা থাকলে ইংরেজি should বা ought to বা it is ....... duty to বসে।আমাদের ভোরে ওঠা উচিত। ---- We should get up early in the morning./We ought to get up early in the morning./ It is our duty to get up early in the morning.
Formula 132
যে বাক্যে কর্তা (subject) থাকে না, সে বাক্যে ‘উচিত’ ইংরেজি করার জন্য should be বসে এবং verb-এর past participle হয়।শিশুটির যত্ন নেওয়া উচিত। ---- The baby should be taken care of.
অন্ধকে উপহাস করা উচিত নয়। ---- The blind should not be laughed at.

কারো কিছু ‘হওয়া উচিত’ বুঝালে ‘হওয়া উচিত’ ক্রিয়ার ইংরেজি should be বসে।তোমার ডাক্তার হওয়া উচিত। ---- You should be a doctor.
তোমার সাবধান হওয়া উচিত। ---- You should be careful.
Formula 134
কারো কিছু ‘হওয়া উচিত ছিল’ বুঝালে ‘হওয়া উচিত ছিল’ ক্রিয়ার ইংরেজি should have been বসে।তোমার চালাক হওয়া উচিত ছিল। ---- You should have been clever.
তাহার শিক্ষক হওয়া উচিত ছিল। ---- You should have been a teacher.
Formula 135
কোন ব্যক্তির ‘কোথাও থাকা উচিত’ কিংবা কোন অবস্থার ‘হওয়া উচিত’ কথার ইংরেজি should stay/should remain/should live হয়।তোমার এখানে থাকা উচিত। ---- You should stay here.
স্কুল বন্ধ থাকা উচিত। ---- The school should remain closed.
Formula 136
কারো কিছু ‘থাকা উচিত’ বুঝালে ‘থাকা উচিত’ ক্রিয়ার ইংরেজি should have হয়।তোমার দুইটি কলম থাকা উচিত। ---- You should have two pen.
তোমার কিছু অলঙ্কার থাকা উচিত। ---- You should have some ornaments.

কোন অনির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর ‘কোথাও থাকা উচিত’ বুঝালে ‘থাকা উচিত’ কথার ইংরেজি There should be হয়।এই গ্রামে একটি স্কুল থাকা উচিত। ---- There should be a school in this village.
প্রত্যেক গ্রামে একজন ভাল ডাক্তার থাকা উচিত। ---- There should be a qualified doctor in every village.
